Bean Stew (Santa Maria) (recipe)
Ingredients for 4 servings
1/2 cupolive oil
2 onions chopped
4 cloves garlic
2 poundRunner beans, trimmed & sliced
1 poundTomatoes chopped
1 tablespoonsugar
1 teaspoonsalt
1/2 teaspoonpepper
1 teaspoonbasil
2 cupbroth

recipe preparation

Heat oil in a pot & fry the onion for 2 minutes. add garlic & fry together. Add the rest of the ingredients & the seasonings. Mix together well. Fry for 5 minutes. Add stock. Simer till the beans are tender. Serve hot or cold.
